Dust to Dust - Mortality and modern burials underground - New Cemeteries

Join me Arnold Dix with Arik Glazer and Adi Alphandary as we explore their re-invention of underground burials in Jerusalem.  From ancient beliefs in the source of life being from the earth, to our inevitable return to earth after we die and decompose.

This is a fascinating and uplifting journey as they describe how they re-invented the underground for use as cemeteries, conducted religious pilgrimages to gain blessings and even the role of Gabriel - the light angel from Germany that designed the lighting.

It seems in death we are unified -and with at least 100 Billion  of our ancestors all ready dead  - and each of us just waiting for our turn - it  seems these modern underground cemeteries will play a role for many faiths in completing our life journeys. 

Dust to Dust indeed - I want to be buried and my body returned to the earth.
